Lobby Renovations Completed at Bank of America Financial Center
New Look Modernizes Landmark Vancouver Office Building
Vancouver, Wash. –
The Schlesinger Companies have completed a major lobby renovation at the Bank of America Financial Center.
The upgrades were initiated when, in September, 2007, the Schlesinger Companies acquired the balance of what had previously been a co-ownership of the property. With this acquisition, the Schlesingers wanted to modernize the look and feel of the building’s lobby and common areas.
The property management team worked with Ankrom Moisan Associated Architects to select colors, textures and design that would bring the building’s common areas a more inviting, contemporary feel. “We believe this new look will last, both in style and durability,” says Senior Property Manager Mark Schlesinger. For this significant project, the Schlesinger Companies enlisted CG Construction as the General Contractor. Upgrades include stone flooring, new carpeting, fresh paint, energy-efficient lighting and local artwork.
Ownership’s goal was to enhance the building’s appeal to current and potential tenants. Existing on-site amenities include parking and valet services, an athletic club, bank branch and Water Lily Café.
“The renovations show that Schlesinger Companies are committed to ensuring the quality of their properties, the success of their tenants and the strength of their community,” says Joe Burt, President of J.D. Bean & Associates, a pension specialist leasing space in the building.
On a broader scale, the upgrades are intended to contribute to the economic growth and reinvigoration of the downtown Vancouver business district. The Schlesinger Companies are actively looking to bring additional jobs into the region. The Bank of America Financial Center lobby upgrades will make the building more desirable for businesses to open or relocate.
At 10-stories and 275,000 square feet, the Bank of America Financial Center is the tallest and most efficient Class “A” office building in downtown Vancouver’s evolving skyline. The building’s long-term tenants include the Bank of America branch, Princeton Athletic Club and several prominent law firms and financial service companies.
Schlesinger Companies has built and owned other properties in Oregon, Washington, California and Montana.
