Community
The Schlesinger Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization which was established as a 501(c)3 by Ralph and Bunny Schlesinger to make philanthropic grants and gifts in the community. Their primary interests were to benefit medical research and facilitate educational opportunities for economically disadvantaged students. In continuing their legacy we have been the primary sponsor of The Virtuoso Evening event for the last nine years. This annual event has raised over $1.7 million dollars for four local charities dedicated to research and treatment in the fight against diabetes. In addition we have sponsored numerous scholarships at Portland State University and other academic institutions helping many students further their education. The Schlesinger Foundation is committed to making a positive difference in our community.
