The Convention District & 100 Multnomah
The Schlesinger Companies is in a joint-venture partnership to develop The Convention District, an exciting multi-block mixed use project in Portland’s east side. In addition to the Schlesinger Companies ’ private-sector joint venture partner, it is also collaborating with Portland’s redevelopment agency, the Portland Development Commission, on this project.
Located directly north of the Oregon Convention Center, The Convention District will capitalize on the project’s proximity to the Rose Garden Arena, the Memorial Coliseum, the Oregon Convention Center and the proposed Headquarters Hotel. In an area that currently experiences sporadic vitality due to the lack of amenities, The Convention District promises to bring 24/7 life with a mix of shops, bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues, as well as exciting new office and residential space.
Phase I of The Convention District is 100 Multnomah, a 19 story, 550,000 square foot Class A office building containing over 300,000 square feet of office space, ground floor retail space, the east-side’s first major bike hub, and over 450 parking spaces. The main building lobby will be a richly appointed “Living Room” styled space, with comfortable seating areas. Every office floor will have unobstructed views of Downtown Portland and the Willamette River. The fourth floor will contain a fully-equipped conference center, with space flexibility for larger groups as well as smaller, board-room type facilities. Adjacent to the conference center will be a 10,000 square foot outdoor urban garden. The top two floors of the building will have south-facing terraces on the entire southern façade. As further indication of the Schlesinger Companies’ commitment to the environment, 100 Multnomah will be designed to achieve LEED Gold designation.
With its visibility, amenities, efficient floor-plates, modern design, and accessibility to all forms of transportation, 100 Multnomah will be one of Portland’s premier office addresses.
Currently in conceptual design, Phase II of The Convention District will be an exciting mix of shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, as well as work and live space.
